The Acne Code - Where Acne Begins

One of the first mistakes that most people make in regard to treating their acne is thinking that this is an external problem. Acne does not begin on the face. It is actually a combination of internal imbalances as well as external imbalances which cause the acne to appear.

When you consider your body as a balanced system, you have to realize that your hormones, the food that you eat, the way you process the nutrients, all play a role in how your epidermal layer reacts. The pores in your skin, the amount of sebum or oil that is secreted, and the amount of flaking of your skin combined creates a perfect storm for pimples to arise.

What you first need to do is to forget the idea that slathering acne medication on your face is a cure.

You're merely treating a type of infection or disease that is actually in your body that is distressing your skin to the point that it is creating an imbalance. And this imbalance is what needs to be fixed. The pimples are just a byproduct of this illness.

To be clear, acne is not a per se illness or virus. It is simply something that is creating imbalance in your body which causes it to happen.

In my next post, I will discuss how you can begin to treat acne the right way which begins with looking at the food that you eat. It goes beyond what you ingest, it also has to do with many other factors including your lifestyle, how much you sleep, and the type of environment that you are living in. We will get into that in the next post on why acne begins on the inside.
